Sandy Jennings, BSDH, MA

Ms. Jennings received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from USC in 1969.  She has been on the Taft College Dental Hygiene faculty from the first time it opened the clinic doors.  Teaching is what she loves most, second only to being a dental hygienist.

Michael Westwick, DDS Michael Westwick, DDS

Dr. Westwick comes to Taft from Creighton University where he received both his DDS and Master of Science in Dentistry in Periodontology.  Dr. Westwick has been a practicing periodontist for over seventeen years.  Taft College is especially fortunate to be the only dental hygiene program in California that has a periodontist as part of the full-time faculty.

Diana Champion, RHD, BS

Mrs. Champion graduated from the first class of dental hygiene students here at Taft College in 1995. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from California Stafte University Bakersfield also highly qualifies her as a most enthusiastic member of the instructors' team at Taft College Dental Hygiene.  We consider Diana a perfect example of our graduates' professionalism.

Debby Woodson, Offfice Manager

Debby Woodson,
Dental Hygiene Office Manager

Debby Woodson has been with the program since the beginning in 1993.  Her official title is Office Manager for the Dental Hygiene Program.  She is Dr. Eastman's "right hand" woman.  It is rumored that Debby knows the answer to any question and has the solution to any crisis which she will jovially deny with the statement, "I know nothing."  Debby is adored by all because of her warmth, dependability, and sincere commitment to our program.

Laura Riss,
Receptionist/Technician

Laura Riss, a proud graduate of Taft College, is the Receptionist/Technician for both the Dental Hygiene Program and Prop X, "Healthy Families."  As the youngest member of our staff, she keeps the clinic running smoothly, greeting patients and students alike with her wonderful smile and sense of humor.  What she enjoys most about her job is working with the faculty, students, and the public.
